Terms of Service
01 The Service
Trustetch lets you create cryptographic "proofs of reality" for photos and videos — a tamper-evident record that specific media existed at a stated time, sealed with hashing, a digital signature, an RFC 3161 trusted timestamp (eIDAS-format; full eIDAS "qualified" status is pending a qualified trust service provider), and a Bitcoin blockchain anchor. Verification can be performed independently of us.
02 Accounts & API keys
Some features require an account or API key. You are responsible for keeping keys confidential and for all activity under your keys. Notify us promptly of any suspected compromise.
03 Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) seal content you have no right to capture or share; (b) seal unlawful, infringing, or abusive content; (c) attempt to forge, tamper with, or misrepresent a proof; (d) abuse, overload, or attack the Service; (e) resell the Service except under an agreed partner arrangement.
04 Your content
You retain all rights to media you submit. You grant us only the limited licence needed to process, hash, store, and serve your proof and (where you choose) its media for verification. We do not sell your content. You are responsible for ensuring you may lawfully capture and submit it.
05 Fees
Paid plans and credit packs are billed as described at checkout. Prices may change with notice. Prepaid credits are non-refundable except where required by law. Taxes (including Indian GST where applicable) may apply.
06 Nature of proofs — what a Trustetch proof IS and IS NOT
A Trustetch proof establishes that a specific file existed, unaltered, by a specific time, and (where provided) the device, location, or identity asserted at sealing. A proof does NOT establish that the scene depicted is genuine, unstaged, or truthful; that the capturing device was not compromised before capture; or any legal conclusion. Trustetch is a tool that produces verifiable technical evidence; it is not legal advice and does not guarantee admissibility or outcome in any proceeding. Admissibility and weight are determined solely by the relevant court or authority.
07 Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Timestamp authorities and the Bitcoin network are third-party systems outside our control.
08 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or reputation.
09 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content or your breach of these terms.
10 Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or to protect the Service. Proofs already sealed remain independently verifiable using the published public key and the blockchain, regardless of account status.
11 Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
12 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of the operator's registered location, unless a mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
